Bathers and Grand Hotel from the West pier<\/p>\n

Following three images show bathers in front of a Brighton pier.<\/p>\n

Bathers are the same in both images and therefore the same pier in both.\u00a0 But is it the Palace or the West Pier?\u00a0 I have spent many hours pondering that question.<\/p>\n

And then there were three – but who were they?<\/p>\n

Not a great photo at first glance.\u00a0 Palace pier in the background\u00a0 confirms\u00a0 the Brighton location. Volk’s railway,\u00a0 with train, runs along the side of the road. The car in the foreground LY7705 was one of two used by the family for this holiday.<\/p>\n
